I really admire the delicate attention to detail and color in these prismic, large scale oil painting series untitled, “ALKAHEST” by Mykonos based Jonathan Saiz. Have a look through the full series via the link below. (via yayeveryday.com)

This skate video by Russell Houghten is masterfully done. Great moments of timelapse, slow-pan and featuring a whole slew of talented riders, Dylan Rieder, John Rattray, Shuriken Shannon, Tom Karangelov, Jordan Taylor, Arto Saari, Oscar Meza… Taking your average skate vid to a whole new level of videography. Well worth the view.

I dig this typeface coming from Feldkirch, Austria based designer David Gobber. It feels fresh and also seems to capture the essence of the Art Deco design style of an earlier era. I think it’s the suspended mid-waist of the ‘E’ that’s making me go there… He’s got a bunch of very nice, inspirational work on his [...]

We all like our projects, the things that keep us busy and entertain our minds. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my garden this spring and I’ve found sites like Pinterest and Tumblr to be very inspirational, but sometimes I have a tough time finding the ‘how to’ or instructional to actually create [...]

Book and paper artist Ryuta Iida and artist Yoshihisa Tanaka have partnered to create these amazing timelapse portraits that have been cut and sliced to reveal the subtle changes that occur as time passes us by. The works above are just a few selects from a larger collection called ‘Misunderstanding Focus’. It’s interesting how some [...]

The City of Samba from Jarbas Agnelli on Vimeo.
This is an amazing example of tilt-shift videography produced by by Keith Loutit and Jarbas Agnelli. Probably the best example I’ve seen to date. The footage was captured during Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro, 2011. Have a look, go fullscreen.

This is a fun Tumblr blog appropriately named ‘Things Organized Neatly’, perfect for fellow OCD’ers out there who obsess over clean lines and clarity of arrangement, balance and relationship. On a good day my desk, coffee table and the floor of my closet resemble some of these finely tuned arrangements of stuff. Have a look.

It’s never too late to say happy new year, well, maybe April is too late. Regardless, I really enjoy the overall vibe of this ‘Happy New Year’ video produced by ‘Hello Stranger’. The timelapse fwd and back, fireworks and zippy soundtrack make this a fun view, any time of the year.

The photography of Portland, Oregon based Delaney Allen is brilliant. Fantastic cloudscapes, rogue waves, mundane objects in extraordinary environments and even still moments that pull at one’s emotional heartstrings. It’s all there.

‘We are wild’ is a great destination to discover emerging photographers. You get a good glimpse into their world as well as a bit of a story behind each mind that is producing the fantastic work. Above are some of my favorite shots from the Elizabeth Weinberg collection. So many amazing artists to discover, such [...]

I like this little film about super talented artist Chris Sickels and his vintage Harley Pacer. All around, he seems like a great person, someone who appreciates the simple things in life but is also passionate about producing the things his mind gravitates towards. Makes for an entertaining view, godspeed!

The above images are out-takes from the production of an interactive projection mapping viral for Sony Playstation. The whole story was shot in one take and in one room with an impressive amount of supporting characters in seamless white suits to help assist with the overal effect. Pretty cool concept, pushing the bounds of what [...]
