Sensu -> Artist Brush for iPad

A friend turned me on to this amazing looking digital artist brush coming from Artist Hardware called the Sensu brush. I’ve been drawing a lot more thanks to the 53 Paper app, it would be a lot of fun to try out a real brush on the screen. It looks promising. Additional note: this innovative idea [...]

Board of Awesomeness -> Chaotic Moon Labs

Notes from Vimeo:

“Chaotic Moon Labs’ “Board of Awesomeness” is intended as a technology teaser to show how perceptive computing can turn around the way we look at user experiences. The project utilizes a Microsoft Kinect device, Samsung Windows 8 tablet, a motorized longboard, and some standard and custom hardware to create a longboard that watches [...]

realtime projection mapping -> Sony PS3

The above images are out-takes from the production of an interactive projection mapping viral for Sony Playstation. The whole story was shot in one take and in one room with an impressive amount of supporting characters in seamless white suits to help assist with the overal effect. Pretty cool concept, pushing the bounds of what [...]

controlled quantum levitation -> mini Wipe'Out track

I recall wasting away entire weekends playing Wipeout on Playstation with my friends when we were in college. It was a pretty amazing game back in the day when it first came out. The above vid is a ‘faked’ concept (according to my research findings) for a controlled quantum levitation mini version of the game. [...]

TimeHue Clock -> Abstractmachine

TimeHue from abstractmachine on Vimeo.

Notes from Vimeo:

“TimeHue is a clock that represents time as a series of hue values ranging from 0° to 360° within in the HSL color space. To read the clock, start from the center and move outwards: the hue of the small circle represents hours, the middle continuous hue represents minutes and [...]

The Expressive Web -> Adobe

Adobe’s nicely designed ‘The Expressive Web’ beta site is meant to showcase the capabilities and seemingly unlimited potential for designers and developers using HTML5 and Adobe CSS3. New functionality includes dynamic drop shadows, impressive motion and transition control, more control with color and gradients… and a nifty canvas element that let’s you control it all [...]

Earth -> Time Lapse View from Space

Earth | Time Lapse View from Space, Fly Over | NASA, ISS from Michael König on Vimeo.

This NASA/ISS video has been super popular the past couple days in the digi-nets, and rightly so. It’s absolutely mind-blowing. What amazes me is the fact the earth is so electrically charged, both naturally and by man, at all [...]

Jawbone -> UP

Jawbone is releasing an exciting and innovative new health tracking device and mobile app. It’s reminiscent of the NIKE/Apple partnership but not attached to an expensive shoe, and not specific to one activity, opening the door to a much larger customer base. You can now toss your old heart rate monitor and pedometer and that [...]

Fun With Sphero -> GoSphero

Fun With Sphero from GoSphero on Vimeo.

Not much else to say, other than this Sphero thing is rad, and I think it will be as big as the Rubic’s Cube (or at least it should be in my opinion). Such a great concept and design! I ♥ Sphero!

Notes from Vimeo:

“Sphero is the world’s first robotic [...]

we miss you already -> Steve Jobs

Above, are two of my favorite old photos of the young, passionate, genius and relentless Steve Jobs. The second photo, with a young Bill Gates seated next to him, has blown my mind from the first day that I laid eyes on it. To me, it is amazingly revealing and says so much about the [...]

Telenoika -> Audiovisual Mapping

Yet another magically innovative example of archetectural video mapping, created by with 2D video composition software and 3D modeling software. The amazing motion graphics were projected with a 20k video beamer at 1920×1080 at the Kernel Festival in Northern Italy (Brianza to be exact). Very much worth the view. I’d love to check out this festival.

Future of interactive books? -> Al Gore 'Our Choice' app

Al Gore’s new iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch app looks to be nicely designed by UI designer Mike Matas, co-founder of Push Pop Press, and is certainly getting a ton of positive attention this week. The ‘Our Choice’ app is being praised as the “the future of interactive books” by some highly accredited experts. I’ll be [...]

Nalden -> iPad app

Being a long time fan of Amsterdam based influential music and lifestyle blogger Nalden, I’m pretty excited to try out his new super-slick iPad app. Just a few months ago he was soliciting for a talented experience designer to help him build out his dream app, now it seems that it’s come to fruition in a [...]

B-Reel -> 'TRE' video based sales interface

This is a very interesting and futuristic eCommerce touch interface concept for use as a way to bridge the gap from an in-store experience to an online sales experience. The design was created by a Swedish mobile production company called B-Reel and the product is called ‘TRE’. I think the interface, as ‘minority report’ as it [...]
