If you are at all interested in modern architecture trends, then I would suggest clicking around Labics Architecture’s site (based in Rome). Not only are their final designs crisp and clean, their conceptual models and renderings are a work of art as well.

Closca -> collapsible helmet design

CLOSCA | Street style foldable bike helmet from Closca Helmets on Vimeo.

Nice collapsable bicycle helmet design coming from Closca. I like the flat cap look, not a bad option for those of us who have a tough time going with the traditional full-melon design …or gourd, depending on your vegetable preferences.

Eiko Ojala -> Vertical Landscape

The above “Vertical Landscape” was created by graphic artist Eiko Ojala, from Tallinn, Estonia. It’s simple but sophisticated nature caught my eye while browsing through projects on behance.net. I really enjoy his playful cut paper technique, combined with illustration. Many more quality projects to be seen on Eiko Ojala’s portfolio site via the link below.

DL Skateboards -> Brooklyn New York

Cool Hunting Video Presents: DL Skateboards from Cool Hunting on Vimeo.

Nice short documentary by Cool Hunting Video on one of the many small local businesses to be found in Brooklyn, New York theses days. It always amazes me, the endless high quality one-of-a-kind products that these little ‘mom and pop’ style businesses are producing. Skateboards, […]

Sammy Slabbinck -> Collage Artist

I really enjoy the retro appeal coming from Belgian artist Sammy Slabbinck’s collage works. Each one seems to carry it’s own thought provoking message and personality, holding one’s attention. Many more beyond the link on his Tumblr site.

Mikey Please -> The Eagleman Stag

This short animated story by Mikey Please is captivating. The combined animation style, thought provoking storyline, limited palette, lighting and the materials used, give this short a very unique flavor. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t seen it already. It’s honestly one of the best animated shorts I’ve seen in a very […]

Nerhol -> Timelapse Portrait Photography

Book and paper artist Ryuta Iida and artist Yoshihisa Tanaka have partnered to create these amazing timelapse portraits that have been cut and sliced to reveal the subtle changes that occur as time passes us by. Micaël Reynaud -> Microscoped King of Legoland

Micaël Reynaud is a designer, illustrator and photographer based in France. His stop motion animations are pretty mind blowing and strike true with me because of the nostalgia that comes with his use of Legos and Matchbox cars. Staple toys of my youth. If you dig what he’s doing, you can follow him on Google +, Vimeo […]

'Views' Photo Set -> Alberto Salván Zulueta

I really like the overall effect, technique and feel of the photography set called ‘Views’ by Alberto Salván Zulueta. Two significantly different views melded together to create an even more powerful and thought provoking image, that somehow feels comfortably whole and standalone. Many more via the link below.

Libson, Portugal based agency called ‘Bold Creative Studio’ is responsible for the well processed images of NYC above. I really enjoy the level of desaturation and use of tilt-shift within this set. There are many other nice examples of photography on their portfolio site, as well as some squeaky clean type design. Definitely worth a […]
