Design and artist duo Peter Olschinsky and Verena Weiss are based in Vienna, Austria. Their site is full of amazing examples of graphic design, illustration and photography. His stop motion animations are pretty mind blowing and strike true with me because of the nostalgia that comes with his use of Legos and Matchbox cars. Staple toys of my youth. While browsing some new sites the other evening I came across this Holland based bicycle design shop called Elian Cycles. Nice Art Direction by Atelier Franck [...] Amsterdam based agency ‘Resoluut’ looks to have designed a very clean and fresh iPad app for women’s pop culture/style magazine ‘Viva’. The video demo boasts some elegant integration of video, casual gaming, and enhanced articles containing lots of nice layers to explore. Not exactly the kind of content that I’m into, but I’ll be downloading it anyway, [...] As The Stars Fall – Artificial Sun from AS THE STARS FALL on Vimeo. I really enjoy the sounds, sights and overall aesthetic of this music video coming from Paris, France based music group ‘As the Stars Fall’. I feel that the very personal and candid approach to the video production gives the already magical soundtrack [...] Today I stopped in and took some pics of the newest retail addition to Seattle’s downtown shopping district, ‘All Saints Co.’ (based out of London). Aside from the nice retro typography, fluid branding and tall windows impressively stacked floor to ceiling with vintage sewing machines, I was also pretty excited to see iPads spotted throughout [...] The smart and entertaining illustration/poster design series above is coming from a Toronto based illustrator named James Alexander and designer Glenn Michael of Moxy Creative House.
