I recently came across this very entertaining timelapse photoshop illustration by Super Silo (Dutch designer, Martijn van Dam) on ilovenewwork.com. Super impressive, and fun to follow. Especially if you’re the type that gets into the fancy photoshop maneuvers. I saw this video on my friend’s Facebook wall today (thanks Matt!), it’s a Multiphysics simulation by Lagoa Technologies Inc. This motion demo shows off new software that creates amazingly realistic physically based CG effects. Very nice motion reference for those who love to explore how [...] Moscow based digital artist Vladimir Shelest has sculpted and rendered this ultra sci-fi experimental graphic environment for a mobile phone release called QderoPateo Ouidoo. The particle effects, lighting and transparent layers are pretty much falling within the category of memorizing. This is an experimental CG particle animation by Berlin based digital artist Jan Goldfuß. The subtle spatial pans are very impressive to me, considering that he’s tracking so many tiny elements. Overall, the effects in this video feel very fresh. Definitely worth checking out. In the short description, their software calculated the relative proportions of different colors from various photos taken [...] I came across the above rendering by illustrator Cesc Grané this morning on Yayeveryday.com, it made me realize that I hadn’t seen or been very inspired by any recent toy designs lately. This ‘Raiki’ doll seems pretty interesting to me though. I really like the 3D rendering style and the colors chosen to create the world [...] If the name ‘PlasticBionic’ doesn’t have you intrigued then maybe the visuals above will pull you in. 27 year old Nantes, France based designer Julien Brisson has some seriously interesting work percolating on his super tight grid based portfolio site. His typography and graphic design skills are extremely refined and tend to skew a bit [...] Massive Attack-Splitting the Atom-directed by Edouard Salier from edouard salier on Vimeo. The above ‘Massive Attack’ video takes you through an incredibly rendered CG fly-through of abstract landscape that seems to endlessly unfold and evolve. From metallic flat lands, particle filled skies to dark characters… this video is definitely a trip, the track ‘Splitting the Atom’ [...] Vanishing Point from Bonsajo on Vimeo. The above video rendered by Takuya Hosogane takes us through a series of interesting cycles of motion graphics. Rolling 3D wire mesh morphing into hovering geometric shapes hold my attention and are interestingly accented by the occasional nervous twitch. Towards the end of the video he introduces a nice range of color [...] The illustrative works by Robert Samuel Hanson range from bustling graphic city scapes to thought provoking minimalist graphic posters. They take the shooting style to the next level by adding in the effect of a giant hand that enters the scene and interplays with the action in humorous ways. Lines of different thickness and rate of speed come together in beautifully simplistic figurative forms over a limited palette background accented with silhouettes of foliage that occur in negative space. That’s the best that I can [...] I saw a lot of interesting Halloween costumes and masks this year but nothing as innovative and cerebral as this ‘Papercraft Self Portrait’ mask designed rendered and produced by Vancouver based game industry guru Eric Testroete. Basically, he’s mapped his enlarged picture to a CGI wireframe mesh and exported the final image with perfed lines [...] |
