They were created for a recently launched artists site created by AOL (aolartists.com) that is meant to be a community for sharing new inspirational art and design. They were created by a young designer named Tien-Min who was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from the National Chengchi University in Taiwan and furthered her studies at my alma mater, Pratt Institute in New York. This is a promotional stop motion video created for Stockholm, Sweden based design group SNASK by designer Mike Crozier. I guess I’d seen so much papercraft time lapse video on Youtube and [...] The above papercraft installation + overall set design was designed by Creative Sweatshop and photographed by Khuong NGuyen. These well crafted images have spread through the design blogosphere at a rapid pace the past couple of weeks because of their relevance and alignment with current papercraft trends + very spatially dynamic and inspirational.
