dust breedings from goaj on Vimeo.
This is an experimental CG particle animation by Berlin based digital artist Jan Goldfuß. The subtle spatial pans are very impressive to me, considering that he’s tracking so many tiny elements. Overall, the effects in this video feel very fresh. Definitely worth checking out.

Metronomy – On The Motorway – by JUL & MAT from JUL & MAT on Vimeo.
This is an unofficial video for ‘On The Motorway’ ‘Metronomy’ (an 80s-ish pop group from the U.K.). This aspirational/upbeat instrumental track combined with the bright rhythmic splatters of fluorescent paint should help place some energy behind your clicks… If not, [...]

I came across this excellent flash based photography portfolio site of Jean Malek’s on theFWA.com yesterday. I must have missed it because it was posted a while ago and I frequent the FWA as a source for interactive design trends. Regardless, I love the motion design and full bleed/full screen experience on this site, not [...]

SNASK from Mike Crozier on Vimeo.
This is a promotional stop motion video created for Stockholm, Sweden based design group SNASK by designer Mike Crozier. It’s a fun watch as the animation literally unfolds, tears and transitions from sheets of paper to colorful boxes and then to a paper model of a pop style t.v. only to reduce back down [...]

I really dig these figurative oil paintings by Brighton, England born artist Simon Birch, he’s captured motion, emotion, bold color and amazing light in every one. His brush work, and I think, from the photos his knife work is super expressive, he’s not afraid of great color contrast either. Very cool stuff. If you’re into [...]

File Not Be Found from abstract.k on Vimeo.
I came across this reel by Angelo & Daniela Bramanti + Mattia Messina AKA Phonomatt and Luigi Barone of Abstractk.com. I like the mesh of lo-fi/lo-tech graphics with some interesting organic fan shaped objects in constant motion layered with type. The sound design also helps to keep my [...]

Amongst the many different styles out there, Bangkok based designer and founder of youworkforthem.com Michael Paul Young’s works have long been some of my favorites within the genre. His motion work is completely captivating and [...]

I’ve seen many hints of this technology coming to life and I’m excited to check this out. Basically it’s voice and motion based navigation for the web via your pre-existing computer mic, webcam and browser. Wouldn’t it be nice to sit in front of your home computer, say “Weather.com… 36hr forecast” and have the computer [...]
