DJBroadcast 52 – Robot Illustration from Super Silo on Vimeo.
I recently came across this very entertaining timelapse photoshop illustration by Super Silo (Dutch designer, Martijn van Dam) on ilovenewwork.com. Super impressive, and fun to follow. Especially if you’re the type that gets into the fancy photoshop maneuvers.

The typography works coming from NYC based designer Ana Gomez are pretty amazing to take in. The accuracy and consistent flow of the line quality is nothing short of fantastic and great fun to look over.
Notes from Behance:
“Octave has been created with the intention of fusing together the graphical elements of written musical composition with the English alphabet. [...]

I really like Marco Puccini’s overall style, super modern and perfectly on-trend with a nice overlay of texture and distress that gives each piece a vintage quality. His Tumblr blog is full of really nice design, type and illustration to gain inspiration from. I also like that his portfolio site is pretty much a straight-up [...]

Christoph Ruprecht is a creative director from Germany with some serious chops in graphic art/design and typography. His works transcend the bounds of print design and extend into the realm of fine art. Much of his graphic design reminds me of works by the great surrealists Miro, Dali and Tanguy. You’ll have to check out [...]

The design work coming from Oakland, California based Mark Giglio is bright, clean and full of energy. His portfolio site showcases some nice graphic poster prints, more smart wooden sculpture and some T-shirt designs. Pretty fresh work, all in a fun package beyond the link.

The photography of Calgary based photographer Levi Wedel is crisp, light conscious and dead-on when it comes to framing and composition. He shoots primarily with a Hasselblad 903SWC film camera and enjoys printing his works ‘old school’ or analog. He also curates a fresh photography blog called ‘Images Found’, where he showcases images he’s found [...]

I came across Ross Gunter’s super clean poster print design while browsing Behance the other day. I dig his brand of the international typographic style and his bold color sensibilities. With those two skills combined there is little that can go wrong, if you ask me. His site is full of great works and is [...]

I came across Jordan Metcalf’s design and typography works this week while clicking around another designer’s Flickr stream. His works are super tight and really fun to click through, you can just tell by how perfectly rendered his type is that his level of passion is off the charts. The above are just a couple [...]

I’ve recently come across the fantastic work of photographer Heiko Waechter. I love her sense of light, color and compositional balance. She has the uncanny ability to produce images that are consistently bold in contrast and extremely graphic, one beautiful shot after another. Many more beyond the link.

I really dog the illustrative stylings of New Zealand based Dane Flighty. Bold, vivid, imaginative and my favorite part is his line work. Lines that are super smooth and fun to follow as they twist and turn into peculiar machines, vehicles and characters. I also enjoy his subtle application of weathering and distress on his [...]

Vanishing Point from Bonsajo on Vimeo.
The above video rendered by Takuya Hosogane takes us through a series of interesting cycles of motion graphics. Rolling 3D wire mesh morphing into hovering geometric shapes hold my attention and are interestingly accented by the occasional nervous twitch. Towards the end of the video he introduces a nice range of color [...]

I really enjoy the retro-tech fusion happening with Bay area artist Alex Varanese’s works. He merges and reconfigures high-tech and low-tech objects into interesting + unexpected compositions with a kind of aged/retro/distressed execution. It’s just a Nice combination of aesthetics… and I also dig that he’s so loyal to his earthy, orange + brown palette. [...]

I’m very into the work by by Michigan based design duo Laura and Eric of ’64 Colors’. The work is so well done that it almost looks as if it had been sitting in your ex-roommate’s brother’s hairstylist’s elderly uncle from Hong Kong’s basement suffering from water damage for the last 48 years. The line [...]
