This ambitious music editing app places synthesizers, samplers, effects and audio recording right in the palm of your hand. The interface and overall design was inspired by retro synthesizers and samplers and seems fairly simple to use judging from the above video. More information on the FingerBeat website:

gravitytank // Apps Get Real from Teaque Lenahan on Vimeo.
This is an interesting video produced by Chicago based innovation firm ‘Gravitytank‘ about the current state of and consumer usage of apps in general. Throughout the video there are some interesting bits of data that they have gathered through a 1,000-person quantitative survey. Worth checking out [...]

Music Video Shot on iPhone from Kenny Mosher on Vimeo.
This Music Video was shot entirely on the new iPhone 3GS and was produced by Showdown Productions, LLC. I’m not certain if the edit took place on the iPhone with the editing tools that are available for the 3GS but for those who are interested in [...]

My mad scientists friends over at Minneapolis based agency SevnthSin have taken the phrase “there’s an app for that” to a whole new, slightly disturbing level by creating an iPhone app that will mate you and your best BFFs with just a few simple taps and limited necessary contact. Take a pic of yourself, then [...]

Zensify is an app that has been long awaited by many in my opinion. No longer are the days of having to deal with a unique app for every social net experience that you partake in. Zensify will allow you to:

This app has not released to the public yet but I bet a version of this app will become available soon as I see it as being pretty marketable and full of potential. It was created in response to Todd Vanderlin’s amazing augmented reality scratching concept (shown [...]

This is a pretty thorough demo of the newly released Skype app for iPhone and iPod touch. I’ve been using Skype for a while now at home to keep up with my family and friends through their video calling tools and am excited by the idea of adding it to my iPhone. One thing to [...]

note: The original (and in my opinion more informative) Youtube video I posted called “iPhone OS 3.0 walkthrough” was removed by user (the above video is from Engadget). However, the new video does point out some flaws in the 3.0 build that relate to performance and lag time.
Finally the iPhone 3.0 update is here to save [...]

As a result of my constant efforts to keep my music collection fresh (see my older related post “Dust’s Selects”…) I was recently re-introduced to the simple genius and ease of use of the iphone app “Shazam”. I know, it’s very popular, if you have an iPhone it’s probably one of the first apps [...]
