What I Did Last Summer -> My Daily Photos

I know, it’s only August 5th. I’m not trying to rush us through the season, I haven’t posted in a long while and I thought it would be nice to celebrate the magnificent weather we’ve been having up here in the PAC NW. After all, it’s what has been keeping me from posting. […]

Personal top 5 -> Mobile pics 2012

2012 was another full year of ‘mobile’ photo snapping. I decided to look through and pull together a very light minded “top 5” from the few hundred or so photos that I’ve posted to my tumblr blog. They may not be the best photos from this year, but they’re my favorite of the bunch. Many […]

Romo -> Smart Phone Robot

The New Romo from Romotive on Vimeo.
Some of us carry on a pretty deep relationship with our smart phone, to the point that it may be seen as a tiny little bit creepy. Now you can take that lil’ relationship to a whole new level by giving it mobility and personality via Romotive’s “Romo”. srsly, […]

Grove + MapleXO -> iPhone SkateBack

Grove + MapleXO iPhone SkateBack from Grove on Vimeo.
I bought a Grove Made Bamboo iPhone case last year and I must say that it’s super durable and definitely an eye-catcher. People constantly ask me where I got it and want to know what it’s made from. I may have to get one of these Skatebacks […]

Tumblr Archive -> Looking Back

This is literally a three month ‘snapshot’ of my life, via my Tumblr mobile photo blog. I consider my photo habit a ‘healthy distraction’. I like to look back at the months that have slipped away, and re-visit some of the moments that probably passed me by too quickly. Then again, don’t they all?

Mobile Photos -> Personal Musings

It’s been a while since I’ve shamelessly posted any of my own personal musings and photo experiments. My mobile photo updates are now part of my weekly routine on tumblr, wether it was a conscious decision or not, I’ll never know. It’s fun. Lately, I’m getting a kick out of flipping my images, a simple trick, […]

Snapguide -> DIY Guide App

We all like our projects, the things that keep us busy and entertain our minds. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my garden this spring and I’ve found sites like Pinterest and Tumblr to be very inspirational, but sometimes I have a tough time finding the ‘how to’ or instructional to actually create […]

Studio Neat -> Frames iPhone App

Studio Neat Made an App from Studio Neat on Vimeo.
This is guaranteed to bring hours of fun for those who love to dabble with stop motion and timelapse. Just an awesome app idea coming from Studio Neat.

Audience App -> Google Analytics

I recently purchased this nice new Google analytics visualizer called ‘Audience’ for 99¢ in the appstore. It’s well designed and there are some nice color transitions that occur while looking over your data. Kind of refreshing in comparison to all of the other less designed options that are available.
Get it -> itunes.apple.com/nl/app/audience

iPhone 4s -> Photos

Since I traded in the old iPhone 3gs for the new iPhone 4s, my photo taking productivity has increased significantly. That’s the good thing. The bad thing is that my photo taking productivity has increased significantly and I haven’t touched my Canon 7D in weeks! I’ve found that the new 8MP camera and optics have really […]

Dirk Dallas -> iPhoneography

I’m having a lot of fun keeping up with Flickr contact and SoCal based designer Dirk Dallas lately on his photo stream. The majority of his colorful and atmospheric shots were taken with his iPhone and modified with various apps. He’s got a ton of fresh photos to check out. Nice way to discover apps […]

Tilt-Shift Generator -> iPhone App

I just discovered this amazing iPhone app called ‘TiltShift Generator’ available at the app store for just 99¢. It’s a fantastically efficient and easy to use app that generates a very nice tilt-shift effect on your iphone pics. I’ve been trying it on on some of my landscape photos from my Flickr stream as well, […]

Word Lens -> Augmented Reality App

I just found out about this new app called Word Lens on CNN, so I’m sure the news of it’s release is spreading lightning fast at this point, and for good reason. It’s an augmented reality app that instantly swaps out text in different languages in our reality, on signs, in print, on the side […]

Happy Halloween -> iPhone Pics/Tumblr

Recently, I’ve been having a lot of fun posting to my ‘Chris Kalani’ themed Tumblr blog (Chris Kalani is the designer and creator of yayeveryday.com). For the most part I use the blog to post daily pics from my iPhone or some of my shots from my Canon 7D. Halloween is one of my favorite […]

Sevnthsin -> Distance Makes No Difference

My buddy Jamey Erickson is always up to something interesting and fun. Whether launching weather balloons to take pictures of the outer stratosphere, prepping for his next outrageous Halloween costume (I’ll spare you the visuals) or just coming up with interesting ways to make his Minneapolis based design studio Sevnthsin an inspiring place to work… he’s bubbling […]
