Along with the news of the iPhone 4 release on June 24th, Grove Made is taking pre-orders on their new laser engraved iPhone case specifically designed for the new model. I wondered how the bamboo case would look given that the new iPhone design has some sharper edges to it… still looks very nice.

I was just speaking to someone yesterday of the apparent fluidity and unlimited potential for the iPad/iPhone/eReader/mobile anything case sub-markets and then coincidentally, later in the evening stumbled upon this interesting company called ‘Grove Made’ who makes these nifty laser engraved bamboo iPhone cases. Pretty slick. I found this on one of my favorite posterous [...]

I’ve been keeping a simple posterous iPhone pic blog for a while now. I like to post all the random day-to-day stuff that I come across, recently I’ve been posting sound clips from my guitar practice sessions as well… all in good fun. Those are three of my latest shots above. Lately my pic uploads [...]

To me, there is nothing better than a well visualized concept. You can put something down in words, discuss it or wireframe it out for months, even years, but until you render an idea in a way that’s true to life it’s difficult to fully understand the potential. The ‘iWatch’ concept by Naples based ADR [...]

eBoy FixPix [iPhone] – Preview from CreativeApplications.Net on Vimeo.
I’ve been a fan of eBoy since they emerged from a different planet in 1997. I remember how unique their style of stacking pixels seemed to me at the time. Now, unless you’ve been living in a pixel-less cave somewhere their work has become fairly common and [...]

Being a new resident of the pacific northwest, I’ve started to discover a number of interesting cultural subtleties that are different from the east coast and the midwest where I have lived in the past. One of the little granular details that has caught my eye is the local love for the mini camper van. [...]

A couple months ago I started up a ‘posterous’ blog and have been using it as an easy mobile upload platform for all my iPhone photos. I’m snapping daily and I’m often surprised at the image quality I’m getting from my iPhone, depending on the light and my ability to keep my hand steady (or [...]

LoKast is what people are calling a ‘disposable social net’ and was revealed last week at SXSW in Austin. What makes it “disposable” is that you can connect temporarily with the people around you and carry on social interactions such as content sharing and other common activities like voting, chat, flirting, debating… broadcasting yourself in [...]

This is a smart campaign coming from New Balance. Tagging on to the whole ‘Lifetracking 365′ trend, they’ll be posting daily content for an entire year for people to check in and check out. I’m totally aware of what a huge undertaking this will be for them after watching my wife go through her own 365 [...]

A conglomerate of talented folks and organizations e.g., -> NewWorkers, Naldisney and AKQA are set to launch an interesting new (FREE) iPhone app for Nike called ‘True City’… seems to be along the same vein of thought that Adidas explored with it’s ‘Urban Art Guide’ app that launched in spring 2009. Looks like a great concept and an equally nice execution, [...]

Having some extra time a few days ago on an airplane trip I createed this quick type layout using John Lennon’s lyrics to ‘Nobody Told Me’ as a background image on my iPhone. I decided it would be fun to share my creation. The far left color option is available on my Flickr stream via [...]

Is the iPhone the new Lomo? That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I’m really feeling the low-quality grain and overall effect coming from the iPhone camera these days. Especially the stuff coming from Portland based photographer Jared Souny’s iPhone. I have been noticing his shots appearing on his blog lately and have [...]

The iPhone has brought about yet another interesting accesory to the market, this time in the form of a simple viewing stand called the ‘iBend’. The stand collapses simply for maximum portability and is dressed graphically by well known artists like Joshua Davis and Bartalos. Fun product for iPhone lovers + cool gift for under [...]

I think it’s interesting how some simple ideas when well executed can become extremely popular and pass around virally to thousands of people at lightning speed, this DIY paper iPod dock designed by Julien Madérou is no exception. You’ve probably seen this already, I wanted to make note of it here on CircuitBreaks because it [...]
