Yule Log 2.0 -> Artist Project

Notes from site: “Yule Log 2.0 re-imagines the traditional Yule Log through a collection of short films by illustrators, animators, directors, and creative coders. First televised in 1966 by WPIX-TV as a gift to viewers, the Log has since burned itself into our hearts.”

Eiko Ojala -> Vertical Landscape

The above “Vertical Landscape” was created by graphic artist Eiko Ojala, from Tallinn, Estonia. It’s simple but sophisticated nature caught my eye while browsing through projects on behance.net. I really enjoy his playful cut paper technique, combined with illustration. Many more quality projects to be seen on Eiko Ojala’s portfolio site via the link below.

Chaos Crew -> The Tattooed Poster

Notes from Site:
“In a celebration of some of 2011′s most newsworthy events, Munich’s Chaos Crew Tattoo Studio created a massive poster that shows the true art of tattooing by using a large piece of calfskin. By using the skin instead of creating an image and transferring the work to paper, the integrity of the original […]

SpongeBob -> Clothing Graphics

It’s Friday. I figured that simple fact warrants a post that is all about fun and playfulness, as I rarely do post about “fun and playfulness”. Yes, in air quotes even. This fine rendering of a high-design SpongeBob SquarePants is coming from an agency in Nottingham, London called ‘Studio Output’.  Their site is very much […]

Musically Inspired Album Covers -> Simon Page

I came  across some fairly new works by Simon Page on his Flickr stream yesterday, which then led me to his Behance page. Apparently, he’s been working hard on a lot of album covers. The above covers were all inspired by ‘simply listening to the music’, as he states on his Behance project page. The […]
