A FACTORY IN BROOKLYN from STYLE LEDGER on Vimeo.
Nice documentary on old school, quality USA garment manufacturing, focusing on the Martin Greenfield factory in Brooklyn. I personally hope that these smaller “Made in the USA” clothing manufacturers continue to build and renew their popularity. You may not get the 24 hour shipping option, or the [...]

NYC based photographer Steph Goralnick never fails to impress with her ability to capture seasonal events in a robust way. The photos above from a recent Summer camping/rafting trip are totally fun. Here in Seattle, we’ve been lucky to even approach 80°, so these images really make me long for Summer. I last posted in [...]

I really love the graphic design coming from designer Mark Brooks and the Barcelona based clothing brand ‘Santa Monica’. They’ve opened up a few pop-up stores around Barcelona and have a bunch of their t-shirts available via the site link below. Nice + clean.

Amsterdam based agency ‘Resoluut’ looks to have designed a very clean and fresh iPad app for women’s pop culture/style magazine ‘Viva’. The video demo boasts some elegant integration of video, casual gaming, and enhanced articles containing lots of nice layers to explore. Not exactly the kind of content that I’m into, but I’ll be downloading it anyway, [...]

The smart and entertaining illustration/poster design series above is coming from a Toronto based illustrator named James Alexander and designer Glenn Michael of Moxy Creative House. The concept is great. In short, it’s a series of posters documenting the the style of music featuring iconic outfits from 20 male musicians. Shown above, is the main poster [...]

If you’re looking for a new online resource for design, art, music, culture and fashion you may want to check out Honeyee.com. I like the simplicity of the site’s template which allows the imagery to speak loudly and not become diluted by a heavy site skin. The categories are pretty interesting as well, covering everything [...]

I was just speaking to someone yesterday of the apparent fluidity and unlimited potential for the iPad/iPhone/eReader/mobile anything case sub-markets and then coincidentally, later in the evening stumbled upon this interesting company called ‘Grove Made’ who makes these nifty laser engraved bamboo iPhone cases. Pretty slick. I found this on one of my favorite posterous [...]

Recently I discovered the website for Amsterdam’s ‘CODE Magazine’ which is distributed in the Netherlands, Belgium, Tokyo and Paris. Self-described as being a “platform for documentary fashion photography”, CODE is full of genuine, fresh design, typography and photography. On the website (which is slated for a redesign launch in March) you’ll find a bunch of [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any interesting wrist watches or gadgets. This particular model called the ‘Poptone Vibration Watch’ caught my eye the other day while doing a little online holiday shopping. As you’ve most likely gathered by the name it’s unique feature is that it has a vibrating alarm. Pretty cool for [...]

(capsule) is a fashion and lifestyle trade event that features the latest/greatest new fashion designers and labels from around the world. As I was clicking through their site I noticed that they had commissioned Brooklyn-based artist Mike Perry to illustrate his vision of the (capsule) community. I thought it was a pretty nice piece and [...]

‘Maestro Knows’ is an online show based around skateboarding vlogger personality Levi Maestro’s day to day life. Documenting urban skate and urban culture, style and fashion trends while skating around town is what he’s known for. Initially his vlogging took place primarily Los Angeles, his popularity has gained him some extra travel opportunities and is [...]

No surprise. Nike is still king of personalization, customization and the online configurator. I quickly designed the above shoe on Nike’s latest configurator for the NIKEiD line with ease. I liked the outcome so much that I decided to save the design for a possible future purchase. Some other nice things I like about this [...]

Pro trend blogger known as ‘Nalden’ claims to be one of the youngest and most of all happiest entrepreneurs in the world. I can definitely understand why. He’s got quite the amazing gig.
