Really nice work coming from 20 year old Norwich, UK artist ‘Inflow’. Saw his stuf this morning via the magical tumblr radar. Many more insanely detailed drawings to be seen beyond the link below. Visit -> http://inflowdesigns.co.uk/ Sometimes senseless, random scribbles on a wall can be a ‘thing of beauty’. Especially, when applied by a free-roaming gallery robot. Pretty amazing, would love to see it in person. Check out the video below. Visit -> yang02.org Visit -> kannoso.org
I’m really into the character drawings that can be found on Theory One’s flickr photo stream. Great line quality and character in each and every one, so worth checking out. I found them while browsing through Eight Hour Day’s perpetually interesting and inspiring design blog. Visit -> www.flickr.com/photos/ This is a very nice documentary and interview of street artists Supakitch and Koralie for the website of the markers brand ‘Posca’. The works that are highlighted in this video are absolutely incredible. Very much worth the view, check out the related links below as well. The competition travels from one destination to another where the artists render their creations side by side in front of a large audience, from the pics on the ‘Secret Wars’ website it looks to be quite the traveling party [...] Jim Denevan is currently in the books as the creator of the largest artwork in history, the above drawing is a segment of a larger design that in total is nine miles in circumference (located in Nevada, USA 2009). You can also view the drawing here on google maps. His works are temporary and eventually [...] The first I saw of L.A. based, Kansas City born Kiel Johnson was the title screen of his time lapse video below (Cardboard Sculpture of a Twin Lens Reflex Camera) on Vimeo. Honestly I didn’t even play the video at the time. I guess I’d seen so much papercraft time lapse video on Youtube and [...] If you’re into heady organic drawings you should spend some time clicking through L.A. based artist Rick Baker’s photo stream on Flickr (also featured Flickr contact this week in right hand column). He’s got some really interesting works to share, some based on old found photography, other works resemble detailed solar systems drawn directly on [...] The illustrative works by Robert Samuel Hanson range from bustling graphic city scapes to thought provoking minimalist graphic posters. His decisive renderings are meticulously arranged and composed creating playful graphic patterns accented by vibrant shapes of color. Have a look at more of his works via the link below. Visit -> http://www.robertsamuelhanson.com Lost Below from Mato Atom on Vimeo. This animation rendering by CG artist Mato Atom is well worth the view. Lines of different thickness and rate of speed come together in beautifully simplistic figurative forms over a limited palette background accented with silhouettes of foliage that occur in negative space. That’s the best that I can [...] For those of you out there like me, who have often wondered how large urban art pieces come to be… This is a very interesting look into the process of taking a small rendering by Ceke and Forget in colaboration with Kollektivet livet, blowing it up and placing it on to it’s final destination in [...] I came across this video the other day on Vimeo and was pretty impressed with the integration of these fidgety cut-out cardboard creatures into the real-life street scenery. The animated composites are really well done and the added effect of motion-tracking makes it believable. Worth a view. MILTON GLASER DRAWS & LECTURES from C. Coy on Vimeo. Five minutes with graphic designer/artist and New Yorker Milton Glaser as he draws and discuses his thoughts on the act and purpose of drawing is five minutes well spent in my opinion. Be sure to check out the links below for more information on him and [...] Jeff Eisenberg’s artwork is inspired by science fiction, architecture, nanotechnology and biotechnology. His cerebral renderings seem to have been produced by a CAD program at times as the wire-frames build out alien shapes that create a sense of terrain or architectural function. His choice of color palette for each of his works further extenuates their [...] |
