I really like the overall effect, technique and feel of the photography set called ‘Views’ by Alberto Salván Zulueta. Digital Alphabet in Stone – Dom Hans van der Laan/Autobahn 2011 from autobahn on Vimeo. This is an interesting and rare view into the art of transferring type from the digital medium to stone. Makes for a fun view for those who enjoy great type and amazing old world skills. Apparently, it was created and documented some time ago in 1993, but it’s been floating around on Tumblr blogs a bit lately because of it’s timely on-trend aesthetic. The majority of his colorful and atmospheric shots were taken with his iPhone and modified with various apps. He’s got a ton of fresh photos to check out. Nice way to discover apps [...] You have to check out Todd Mclellan’s incredible photo set titled ‘Disassembly’ on his portfolio site. His arrangements range from being well organized and static, to energetic depictions of ‘in-the-moment’ explosions of classic and vintage objects. I like that they remind us of the complexity that lies within objects that we typically take for granted. Visit [...] This is a very nice documentary and interview of street artists Supakitch and Koralie for the website of the markers brand ‘Posca’. His special attention to light and shadow really amplify the illusion of these being actual physical realities, making them a pleasure to browse through. There are many more creations like these to be found on his portfolio site [...] This creepy set of long exposure photos was created ‘light painting‘ style by using the animation from the ethically criticized photography project called the Visible Human Project that you may have heard news of back in 1993. Basically, the creators (Concept & Art Direction: Croix Gagnon, Photography: Frank Schott) captured these silky ghosts by playing [...] Chicago based artist and gallery curator David “Netherland” van Alphen is the creator of these wonderfully obscure 1970s charged collage works.
