Really nice work coming from 20 year old Norwich, UK artist ‘Inflow’. Saw his stuf this morning via the magical tumblr radar. Many more insanely detailed drawings to be seen beyond the link below. Visit -> http://inflowdesigns.co.uk/ Hero from Miguel Endara on Vimeo. The above video documents Miguel Endara’s 210 hour magical pointillism portrait of his father called ‘Hero’. How many dots does it take to create such an amazing image? He’s guessing about 3.2 million well placed micro dots of ink. Give or take one or two… Very impressive and very fun [...] I recently discovered the sculptural works of Amsterdam based artist Boris Tellegen. Full of dynamic multi-layered structure and modern edge, they really hold my attention. I’d like to see them in person, I’m sure as light changes in any given room or space, they change personality right along with it. Many more great works by Boris [...] Sometimes senseless, random scribbles on a wall can be a ‘thing of beauty’. Especially, when applied by a free-roaming gallery robot. Pretty amazing, would love to see it in person. Check out the video below. Visit -> yang02.org Visit -> kannoso.org
TEDxAmsterdam 2011 Human Brain from WE ARE Pi on Vimeo. Great concept, amazing visual effect. Have a look. This impeccably produced and captured video was taken at this year’s Burning Man. It’s a complete trip and well worth the view. SRSLY. Watch it. Notes from Vimeo: “Part one (Day) of a two part series. A short glimpse of a Burning Man experience. Hope you enjoy [...] Nice video documentary on street art vs. graffiti. Lot’s of candid material and great works to be seen, all told from a a street level p.o.v. Well worth the view. Visit -> http://www.channel4.com/ Byron Darby is a Northern Utah born and raised artist, with a focus in photography. The impressive composited image at the top called “Seventy Flights in Ninety Minutes” is the piece of his that originally caught my eye. His images are with no doubt the product of great persistence and planning. Many more fantastic examples [...] I really like the overall effect, technique and feel of the photography set called ‘Views’ by Alberto Salván Zulueta. Two significantly different views melded together to create an even more powerful and thought provoking image, that somehow feels comfortably whole and standalone. Many more via the link below. Digital Alphabet in Stone – Dom Hans van der Laan/Autobahn 2011 from autobahn on Vimeo. This is an interesting and rare view into the art of transferring type from the digital medium to stone. Makes for a fun view for those who enjoy great type and amazing old world skills. Visit -> www.autobahn.nl This is definitely one of the more ambitious and disruptive installation art pieces that I’ve come across in a long while. Apparently, it was created and documented some time ago in 1993, but it’s been floating around on Tumblr blogs a bit lately because of it’s timely on-trend aesthetic. Here’s the overall project description from the Behance page: “Luminous [...] This is a pretty fun and interesting environmental art piece, or public art project by ‘Pedazos de Papel’ (Pieces of Paper), or at least that’s who I was able to track back to for a source from Vimeo. I may be wrong. Regardless, the paint is released onto the pavement by bicycles and the rest of [...] The small images above barely begin to relay the awesomeness of the work coming from advertising, fine art, and editorial photographer Ryan Schude. His set design, lighting and well choreographed action scenarios are impecable and great fun to look over. I’m also a big fan of his portrait works. View more, much larger, beyond the [...] |
