SketchSynth -> Drawable OSC Control Surface

Notes from Site:

“SketchSynth lets anyone create their own control panels with just a marker and a piece of paper. Once drawn, the controller sends Open Sound Control (OSC) messages to anything that can receive them; in this case, a simple synthesizer running in Pure Data. It’s a fun toy that also demonstrates the possibilities of adding [...]

IKEA UPPLEVA -> Smart TV & Sound System

5 years from now we’ll be saying “remember when all of our home electronics had cables sprawling all over the place?”. Nice to see IKEA taking the lead on this.

Notes from YouTube Page:

“IKEA introduces UPPLEVA, a completely new range that integrates smart TV and sound system with furniture. UPPLEVA brings beauty and functionality to the [...]

Soviet Cameras -> Retronaut.co

Retronaut.co is a ridiculously great source of browsing entertainment. If you’re into all things retro… cars, products, events, people, places, you’ll have a good time checking out the content on their site. The Soviet camera collection is pretty impressive. I’d love to get my hands on an original Lomo.

We all like our projects, the things that keep us busy and entertain our minds. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my garden this spring and I’ve found sites like Pinterest and Tumblr to be very inspirational, but sometimes I have a tough time finding the ‘how to’ or instructional to actually create [...]

Amazing multimodal and gestural advancements coming from MSFT, utylizing their Surface technology. I love the additional functionality that comes with the transparent chips. Very inspiring to those who are noodling with interface design/technology.

Kickstarter is an amazing phenomenon isn’t it? It allows brilliant people to bring their ideas to life by raising the funds to make it happen, this example is no exception. Hopefully effortlessly, and with some kind [...]

Audience App -> Google Analytics

I recently purchased this nice new Google analytics visualizer called ‘Audience’ for 99¢ in the appstore. It’s well designed and there are some nice color transitions that occur while looking over your data. Kind of refreshing in comparison to all of the other less designed options that are available.

Get it -> itunes.apple.com/nl/app/audience

Satori' Animation -> Abhilasha Dewan

Satori from Abhilasha Dewan on Vimeo.

I really dig the overall effect of this cleverly composited animation short by Abhilasha Dewan, inspired by the misty mountains of Nainital, India. Lot’s of great subtle shading and filtering, his use of photography to add depth and dimension to the illustration is just awesome. Very inspiring piece.

realtime projection mapping -> Sony PS3

The above images are out-takes from the production of an interactive projection mapping viral for Sony Playstation. The whole story was shot in one take and in one room with an impressive amount of supporting characters in seamless white suits to help assist with the overal effect. Pretty cool concept, pushing the bounds of what [...]

controlled quantum levitation -> mini Wipe'Out track

I recall wasting away entire weekends playing Wipeout on Playstation with my friends when we were in college. It was a pretty amazing game back in the day when it first came out. The above vid is a ‘faked’ concept (according to my research findings) for a controlled quantum levitation mini version of the game. [...]
