Hello there, lonely blog. I hope that this simple post will encourage more posts to happen in 2016. Above are some of my favorite photos from 2015. It was a good year, I travelled to visit my parents in Ohio, enjoyed a super long warm summer here in Seattle, and I released two albums. […]
I know, it’s only August 5th. I’m not trying to rush us through the season, I haven’t posted in a long while and I thought it would be nice to celebrate the magnificent weather we’ve been having up here in the PAC NW. After all, it’s what has been keeping me from posting. […]
Symmetrees from Oliver Latta on Vimeo.
There’s great power in symmetry, I too like to experiment with it artistically at times. Symmetry, is sometimes described as “a vague sense of harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance”. Symmetry and balance is something that we strive for in almost every aspect of our lives. Our diet, our work, […]
Salton Sea Revisited 5m Envelope from Xárene on Vimeo.
The goal and intent of the video created by Xárene Eskandar above, is to break the linear passing of time and to pull multiple times into one visual experience. The banding together of these different times also creates an interesting study on the transition of natural color change, […]
2012 was another full year of ‘mobile’ photo snapping. I decided to look through and pull together a very light minded “top 5” from the few hundred or so photos that I’ve posted to my tumblr blog. They may not be the best photos from this year, but they’re my favorite of the bunch. Many […]
This is literally a three month ‘snapshot’ of my life, via my Tumblr mobile photo blog. I consider my photo habit a ‘healthy distraction’. I like to look back at the months that have slipped away, and re-visit some of the moments that probably passed me by too quickly. Then again, don’t they all?

Ah yes, the world through the retro-modern eyes of a hipster. Will there be a day, many, many years from now when anthropologists will stumble across a fairly small slice of time that has seemed to skip backwards, like a dusty needle on an old vinyl record? Leaving them all confused and wondering if all […]
The Derelicts a short film by eGarage from eGarage on Vimeo.
A friend at work passed this well captured and well told documentary vid along to me this morning. The man behind ICON, modern engineeering, classic purposeful design, discusses his love for the “derelict style”. Love the description “time burned, natural finish and patina”.

I like this little film about super talented artist Chris Sickels and his vintage Harley Pacer. All around, he seems like a great person, someone who appreciates the simple things in life but is also passionate about producing the things his mind gravitates towards. Makes for an entertaining view, godspeed!

Since I traded in the old iPhone 3gs for the new iPhone 4s, my photo taking productivity has increased significantly. That’s the good thing. The bad thing is that my photo taking productivity has increased significantly and I haven’t touched my Canon 7D in weeks! I’ve found that the new 8MP camera and optics have really […]
Move, learn, eat. Some of the most rewarding things we can do in life. Nicely produced and captured. I like the simple caption work and the overall rhythm of these short films. Fun stuff, worth checking out.
Notes from Vimeo:
“3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and […]
Pacific Pirates from Billabong on Vimeo.
It’s August, seems like a perfect time to take a few minutes and soak up a well produced surf documentary. Personally, I’m a sucker for them, ever since I first checked out the original ‘Endless Summer’ when I was a kid. Anyway, this video smartly produced by Billabong has documneted […]
This is just nice. A bit filter heavy, but in a good way, and well captured on a 5D this video makes me want to go spend some time someplace warm, beachside with a longboard under my arm. Skater: Michele Pinna and Música: Blithe Field – “Bible School”

Most of my skiing experience prior to this year has come from the east coast. So, as you can guess I’ve been very excited to get in on the pacific northwest flavor of the sport. The best part about living in Seattle is that big mountain access is only a couple short hours away by […]
