Jaisu Beat Tape Vol. 4 from Andy Brown on Vimeo.
Alright, so I may be a bit late to market on this one, but I haven’t seen this kid’s stuff yet. Watch as UK based mix master ‘Jaisu’ takes the old classics and plays the heavy all over them. It takes him a second to pull [...]

I dig the minimalist poster print designs coming from English designer Gary Clarke. His works, sometimes described as “Retro Futuristic Folk Graphics” are bare boned and seemingly unobstructed by afterthought. Clean and bold, these prints will most definitely demand attention in the busiest of spaces. You can purchase his designs at his Etsy store via [...]

Today’s 36th ‘Midweek Music Bump‘ is by young artist ‘David Dallas’ and his track ‘Big Time’. I’m feeling the retro horns, break-beats and the relevant lyrics, as well as the subtle but interesting visual effects added in by director ‘Special Problems‘. That’s why I’ve selected this track for this week’s ‘Midweek Music Bump’.

Moderndog from Michael Paul Young on Vimeo.
I’ve been getting into a lot of organic abstract design and art again lately. Amongst the many different styles out there, Bangkok based designer and founder of youworkforthem.com Michael Paul Young’s works have long been some of my favorites within the genre. His motion work is completely captivating and [...]

The below video is an interesting “making of” of Andrea Berretta’s (of Pepper Design and CD of www.picamemag.com) ‘Tribute to MJ’ poster print seen above. The video captures Andrea’s process from cut paper, hand drawn type to the finishing post work on his mac. A fun view and all in the name of a legendary [...]

Shown here are just a couple examples of Katrina Olina’s poster print design. Her vector drawings have a cleanliness to them that I really enjoy, along with the occasional lens flare and subtle gradients. Makes for a a really nice/fantastical presentation of odd characters and beings. Be sure to check out her reel on vimeo [...]

As I type up this post at 8:30 pm Seattle time, my eye-lids bear down like bags of cement and my train of thought is noticeably difficult to corral because of last night’s travels + the time difference. I’ve spent the last 48 hours relocating with my wife (who took the above pic), cat and [...]
