I wanted to make mention of this newly installed commissioned work by American conceptual/minimalist artist Sol LeWitt (SVA alum) in the in the 59th Street-Columbus Circle subway station. Living up to its name ‘Whirls and Twirls’ this timeless piece will undoubtedly boost the spirits of millions of commuters for many years to come. I’ll be looking for it on my next trip.
